Angela Hamilton is the Director of Education at Bright Beginnings. Mrs. Hamilton is responsible for ensuring that childcare and early childhood learning services are supported and that selected evidence-based curriculum is implemented effectively. She also works with other program managers and leaders to ensure that Head Start Performance Standards, Office of State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) requirements, National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards, and the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations for Licensing (DCMR) are met on a daily basis.
Mrs. Hamilton is passionate about serving children and families. She believes in the Two-Generation Approach and educating the ”Whole Child”. She has over 25 years of experience as a former teacher and assistant principal at the elementary and middle school levels. Mrs. Hamilton earned a Master of Science Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Administration/Supervision certification from McDaniel College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in education from University of Maryland, College Park.
