Workforce Development

For over 30 years, Bright Beginnings staff has helped thousands of children and their families break the cycle of intergenerational poverty and achieve self-sufficiency.

Workforce Development Training

Our Workforce Development Program supports parents of BBI students by preparing them for jobs and careers that lead to self-sufficiency. At enrollment, each parent meets with a workforce development professional to develop an Education Career Plan; this ECP includes identifying employment goals, creating resumes, and addressing participants’ obstacles to achieving their goals. Participants attend classes in job training, workforce readiness, financial literacy, time management, and life-skills. Our workforce development training includes:

  • Financial Education Workshops
  • Soft Skills development courses
  • Career Readiness courses
  • Business and Entrepreneurship courses
  • Resume Building
  • Microsoft Digital Literacy Certification
  • ServSafe Certification
